I finally got to park next to a pair of Providence PD P71s that inhabit the parking garage. There’s also a number of unmarked ones, including two in the same color as mine. My car seems happy to be hanging out with some like minded individuals for once.
It’s weird, I had my Civic for about 7 months and I never trusted that car. Not that I thought it was going to break down or whatever, but I just never got to the point where I knew exactly what to expect from the car. Usually I get there in about a month, where I know what the car is, what it does, and how it’s going to react. The Civic, for some reason or another, never got me there...I kept expecting things to happen.
The P71 has gotten there in about a week of regular driving. Maybe it’s just my experience with Ford V8s and how simple this car is (the Civic was by no means a complicated car), but I just feel like when I get in it, it’s going to run and work and do what it’s supposed to do. I’d imagine that’s why they were so popular as police cars though, they just work.
Now, it's Friday. I've got a short work day, slot car racing tonight, the wife is going to Salem with her friends tomorrow, and I've got a full-ish bank account. Gonna be a good weekend, Oppo.

It really is. They don't have a lot like that, and it's got lights in the front grill to go with it. I'm not sure of the advantage besides aerodynamics, but we're taking about a 250hp 4000lb car here...aero is the least of its problems.

It adds downforce and light-ness.

I forget who made them, but they were made in low numbers in like the early 2000’s.

Sounds legit. I believe that car is an 04 or thereabouts.

That car is for an SRO (School Resource Officer) as notated on the rear fender, so it doesn’t really have a need for a full lightbar as the officer won’t really be rolling code or performing traffic stops. Since it’s only a rear facing lightbar, it’s most likely a more cost effective method of equipping the vehicle with the minimum required emergency lights since it won’t be using them much.

That is a full lighting setup though, I’ve seen less marked unmarked cars.
My local department gives SROs cars that have been taken off regular patrol, or those that were complete and utter garbage Eg: Chargers.
